Joint public hearings are conducted by the Sundargarh District Administration for quick disposal of complaints and grievances of citizens. 

Under the initiative, a joint public hearing was organized at the Sadbhavna Bhawan in Sundargarh on Monday where Collector Dr. Parag H. Gavali and SP Sagarika Nath attended to the various complaints raised by the members of the public.

A total of 143 public complaints were received during the programme of which 48 were disposed of on the spot. The Collector issued instructions to concerned departmental officials to promptly consider and dispose of the remaining complaints.  

People from different blocks of the district who attended the joint public hearing drew the administration’s attention towards the various issues faced by their respective areas. Those ranged from Indira Abas, pension, repair of drains and solar pumps, ration card to MGNREGS and repair of roads. Besides, some citizens also brought up demands for compensation on account of crop loss.    

At the programme, 21 beneficiaries were given monetary assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) and three more from the Red Cross Society for pursuing further treatment. 

DFO Sundargarh Pradeep Mirase, ADM Sundargarh Rabi Narayan Sahu, CDO ZP & EO Bhairab Singh Patel, CDM & PHO Dr. Saroj Kumar Mishra, PA ITDA Ramakrushna Gond, Dy Collector (Emergency) Kuntirani Naik and senior officials from various departments were present at the joint public hearing.
