Sundargarh Dist Admin Conducts Joint Public Hearing

Joint public hearing programmes are being conducted by the Sundargarh District Administration for hearing citizens’ grievances and making their quick disposal. 

Under the initiative, Sundargarh District Collector Dr. Parag H Gavali attended a joint public hearing programme on Monday where he gave a patient hearing to the complaints and grievances of the general public.

A total of 133 complaints/issues were taken up during the programme of which 55 were immediately disposed of. The Collector took into consideration the remaining complaints and issued relevant direction to the concerned departmental officials to solve those at the earliest. 
People from different blocks of the district who attended the programme raised a variety of issues, ranging from pension, land RoR, ration cards to construction of new roads & repair of existing ones, construction of drains et al.  

Some beneficiaries had earlier applied to the district administration for additional help to seek advanced treatment.  Ten beneficiaries were given away monetary assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund at the programme.

Some beneficiaries drew the administration’s attention towards availing advanced physiotherapy services. They were advised to visit the Therapeutic Services Centre at the Sundargarh District Medical College & Hospital and the Integrated Physiotherapy Unit & Therapeutic Centre (IPU-TC) at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in their respective blocks.  

ADM Sundargarh Rabi Narayan Sahu, CDO & EO ZP Sundargarh Bhairab Singh Patel, ASP Ugrasen Pradhan, ADMO Purnachandra Sahu, Dy Collector (Emergency) Kuntirani Naik, DEO Amulya Kumar Padhan, DSWO Prabasini Chakra, PA ITDA Sundargarh Ramakrushna Gond and officials from various departments were present at the joint public hearing programme.
